Job Title: Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Salary: $300,000 – $325,000 per year + bonus + attractive benefits
Hire/Start Date: ASAP
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) or a direct report to the CIO to lead our technology strategy and execution in a light manufacturing environment . This is a hands-on leadership role that combines executive-level strategic thinking with the ability to dive deep into technical architecture, systems integration, and operations.
As CIO, you will be responsible for developing and executing a forward-thinking IT strategy that aligns with our business objectives, driving innovation and operational efficiency through the smart use of technology. You must have deep expertise in IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and digital transformation—with a strong emphasis on applying these capabilities within a light manufacturing setting .
This role reports directly to the CEO and is a key member of the executive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead, and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company’s business goals.
- Act as a hands-on technology leader —engaging directly with systems, architecture, cloud platforms, and internal applications when needed.
- Oversee all aspects of IT operations, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP systems, and software development.
- Champion digital transformation across the organization, leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define, prioritize, and implement IT initiatives that drive growth, reduce cost, and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of IT infrastructure and data assets.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and technology investments to maximize ROI.
- Assess risks and implement robust governance and cybersecurity protocols.
- Monitor technology trends and evaluate their potential application in a manufacturing context.
- Report on IT performance, innovation, and strategic progress to the executive leadership team and board of directors.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven, hands-on experience in manufacturing environments is required.
- Minimum of 15 years in IT leadership.
- Preferred candidate will have progressed through the technology ranks, thus providing a robust set of deep tech skill sets.
- Strong technical foundation with experience across IT infrastructure, software development, ERP systems, data management, and cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation and modernization efforts.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and emerging tech (e.g., AI, IoT, Industry 4.0).
- Progressive utilization of customer facing portals and AI
- Experience managing large-scale IT budgets and complex vendor ecosystems.
- Resides in or willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA. Preferred candidate will be in reasonable proximity to Fulton Industrial Blvd.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in light or industrial manufacturing sectors is highly preferred .
- Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics in a manufacturing setting.
- Industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Experience in lean IT operations, agile methodologies, or Six Sigma.
- Other experiences can include VP or Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations, VP or Director of Enterprise Applications, and Chief Technology Officer (in product-focused or tech-heavy companies)
