Chubb’s White Plains House Counsel firm, Varvaro, Cotter, Bender & Walthall, is seeking a Paralegal. The position is a 4/1 role, requiring work in the office 4 days per week. Job Responsibilities Assisting attorneys in trial preparation Assisting attorneys with record preparation for appeals Communicating professionally and promptly with clients, claims representatives, opposing counsel, experts, vendors, and courts Preparing discovery demands and responses Gathering and organizing medical records and discovery documents Setting up independent medical examinations Assisting attorneys with motions, pleadings, and subpoenas Qualifications The successful candidate must have at least five years of litigation experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, with a solid understanding of New York personal injury litigation. Additionally, the candidate should possess: Strong communication skills Proficiency in computer skills, including email, Word, and case management platforms Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Compensation and Benefits The pay range for this role is $59,000 to $93,500, depending on skills and other factors.
