We are seeking a senior attorney to serve as Director or Senior Director, focusing on supporting the company's Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives. Responsibilities: Review and advise on issues involving the implementation of AI. Help develop the company's AI policies. Review, negotiate, and advise on agreements for AI services. Draft, negotiate, and advise on complex commercial agreements, including technology licenses, service agreements, and SaaS agreements related to AI. Advise on contract interpretation, risk, policies, and regulations related to Verisign's business, especially concerning AI. Understand and advise on applicable U.S. and international laws and regulations. Ensure the legal team is informed of material developments in your areas of responsibility. Operate collaboratively within the legal department. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required: J.D. or equivalent from an accredited law school. 12+ years of legal experience, preferably in an in-house role within the technology or internet sector; familiarity with the domain name industry is a plus. Experience in AI transactions. Strong contract drafting skills, particularly in technology and software licensing. Experience advising senior executives. Excellent analytical and project management skills. Experience with intellectual property issues related to software licensing and international laws. Admitted to the Virginia bar or eligible for admission as a Virginia Corporate Counsel. Personal Traits and Attributes: Highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Ability to multitask and quickly absorb new information. Trusted legal advisor providing practical advice. Self-motivated team player capable of driving projects and resolving issues. Receptive to collaboration and guidance from senior attorneys. This position is based in Reston, Virginia. Compensation: The pay range for Director - Legal is $199,100 - $269,300. The pay range for Sr Director and Senior Corporate Counsel is $228,900 - $309,700. Compensation may vary based on experience and qualifications.
