Job Summary:

T he WagWay Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting and hiring top talent for retail positions across our clubs and resorts and/or for corporate functions. This role partners closely with the hiring managers to understand workforce needs and delivers a high -quality candidate experience aligned with our brand values.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with store and club General Managers and Corporate leadership to assess hiring needs and develop recruiting strategies for hourly and salaried retail roles.
  • Post jobs on internal and external platforms ensuring compliance with branding and EEOC standards.
  • Source candidates using various methods including job boards, social media, employee referrals and local outreach.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, schedule interviews with hiring teams
  • Coordinate and attend hiring events, job fairs and community outreach initiatives
  • Maintain WagWay’s applicant tracking system (ATS) with accurate and timely updates
  • Assist VP, HR with building out a Companywide onboarding program
  • Develop a mentorship program
  • Support new hire onboarding and ensure smooth handoff to the Operations teams
  • Analyze recruiting metrics and provide regular reports on time to fill, candidate pipeline and hiring trends
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience and always represent the Company brand professionally
  • Stay informed of retail talent trends and labor market conditions
  • Conduct training as needed for the field leadership team
  • Assist with various HR related projects as needed

 

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field
  • 2+ years of Recruiting or Talent Acquisition experience, preferably in a retail environment
  • Experience building out a Talent Acquisition Function preferably
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g. UKG, Greenhouse, etc.)
  • Experience with high volume, multi-state retail recruitment
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in HR Software, Microsoft Office Suite
  • HR Certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
